this app has been super helpful to me in uni & afterwards - it helped me pass N1. i'm reluctant to give a score lower than 5, but i do have 1 criticism: purchases get lost frequently. in the ~5 years i've used the app, this has happened many times - usually bc i get a new phone. i've had to do a bit of admin to restore access, but it's not too bad. today, however, the app is saying my purchase has been 'reverted', although i haven't changed my phone or any settings. i hope i can restore it soon2024-05-18 07:35:50

Great stroke detection, an extensive vocabulary, detailed kanji information and more make this an amazing app. It is also a great bargain, probably the cheapest way of studying Kanji out there. This is the only material I used for learning Kanji starting from 6 years ago when I passed N5, all the way to two years ago when I got the N2. It's a pretty good reference app. I use it with the SRS and outlier dictionary add-ons in order to learn the origin of the kanji and their meanings. For the readings I use Wanikani since it has useful mnemonics that make it easier to remember them. Probably the best app for learning kanji, and with the KLC reading set add-on, also a good way to practice reading Japanese. I bought the paper version of Andrew Scott Conning's books several years ago and got this app wanting to get back into it. Best app for learning kanji!!! No regret bought the full features. No matter how busy my life is, by using this app even a few minutes a day, I feel like my japanese is progressing even just little a bit, this is important because when my life is less busy, I can focus on study japanese again without discouraging because I don't study japanese for a while.
