Phone app from Google works Good and also displays spam with an setting option to filter the spam calls. But it also filters calls from delivery agents which becomes difficult. Most important thing missing in this app is it is not showing the state or circles from where the call or sim card is registered or used. It sucks . Wth the last android security patch the audio on my calls cuts out constantly. my cell provider blames my wireless carrier,I've had the same carrier for YEARS, but this issue started in Feb 24. UPDATE: re to the 'clear cache' comment. I've cleared the cache, deleted the phone app a few times, even tried WIFI only calls. It still doesn't work. Haven't found one setting for the call record feature or any other advertised feature. You sold me on the extras and then didn't deliver...classic Google! I will give you this G, the app DOES make phone calls. Kudos?...(2 hours later...) OK, they do state in "about app" that you can only use most features in the app if the Google Phone app comes pre-installed on your device. Ever since you did the new update the phone will ring but not come up on the screen so I can't answer it. I can go into calls after the fact and call them back if possible but the phone will not come up on the screen at all when a call comes in. It doesn't allow me to click the link that you offered so I typed it in and it just keeps saying invalid dynamic link.2024-05-14 12:30:38

I use Google phone on a daily basis for the last 6 years, I prefer it over other UI's but the only thing I wish is that they would say who is calling when I'm using Android Auto, it's really annoying when I get a call and I can't look at my phone to see who is calling because they block you from seeing it and you can only see what the number is on Android Auto not their name, I end up having to shut off my Bluetooth and unplugging the phone so the call comes up and then I can then see who it is.2024-05-14 05:32:57

Periodically the phone rings and there is no way to answer it. None of the Google help articles fix it. My settings already match what they suggest. Pixel 5. Update: It's a year later and still at times my Pixel 5 rings and there is no way to answer it. Being able to answer a call is a very basic capability for a phone.
