This app is an excellent alternative to Google Maps. That being said, it does lack a few quality of life features (such as Android Auto support, which is coming in a branch on GitHub). My only real gripe is a big one though - it doesn't always navigate you to the exact location of landmarks (for example, Disney Springs sends you to the valet pickup instead of the entrance).2024-10-28 15:19:22

I would really like to simply save a location, and then later have the app point me in the direction of that location, just like a normal Garmin hiking GPS can do. Edit: I didn't know that functionality existed! It didn't occur to me to tap on the little arrow by the location description to get directional navigation directly to that point. I look forward to trying it out on my next trip.2024-10-28 12:32:20

I have been using this app to navigate around Asia for the last seven years, even in remote areas and countries with poor connectivity. I use it every day, often many times per day, and I love it. The offline maps are great, I can add pins, export pins to share with friends, and there is zero superfluous nonsense. The app is clean, simple, and works well. My one wish: a single-color overlay showing all trains, not just subway, so I can see the cross-country routes. Thank you, creators!2024-10-28 06:01:16

Nice app for offline navigation. The best feature for this app is it's simplicity, not having unnecessary gimmicky features. One feature I would recommend having is showing the speed limits. The implementation of the night mode is also weird, in auto night mode, only the navigation screen is dark, not the whole app, making it a bit blinding to start the app. Hope this is fixed soon. Overall the app has great potential, but still needs some way to go.2024-10-28 03:08:51

Thanks for the feedback. Let me describe my experience and use-case. I am currently in Europe but want to plan routes in Japan. The map pings back to my current location often, so I manually have to scroll back to Japan. When scrolling the world map does not wrap around so I bump up against the "edge". When planning a route I select a destination. For some reason when I did it the first few times I didn't see the "select a starting point" option, but now I do and it works. It appears you can only have a single destination, no way-points. On my test routes the route planning is good for driving, walking and public transport. I'd like to be able to plan trips with this app, which means being able to save routes with multiple stops. Ideally I would like to plan them on desktop. Could not see any POI import option either, which would be essential.2024-10-25 15:46:41

Great map showing OSM data. One wish: I'd love if moving around were smoother - more like Google maps. That it doesn't just stop if I fling the map around, but sort of tapers off and slowly comes to a halt. Would make navigating around the map much more comfortable and easy. I'd love to see this implemented. Other than that (and the lacking search function, that's probably mostly down to OSM data) great app.2024-10-25 07:05:42
