Is Hi-Fi Rush Coming to the Nintendo Switch??? Maybe.
Krafton, widely recognized for publishing titles like PUBG: Battlegrounds and The Callisto Protocol, has reassured fans of its dedication to allowing Tango Gameworks to further develop its popular IPs. This commitment comes after Hi-Fi Rush earned widespread acclaim and several awards at the 2023 Game Awards.
In a press release from Krafton (shared via Games Press), the company outlined its future plans for Tango Gameworks: "As part of this strategic agreement, KRAFTON intends to collaborate with Xbox and ZeniMax to ensure a smooth transition and maintain continuity at Tango Gameworks, allowing the talented team to continue developing the Hi-Fi Rush IP and explore future projects."
Fans are eagerly anticipating an official announcement regarding a Hi-Fi Rush port for the Nintendo Switch, especially now that Tango Gameworks has been saved. If a port was already in the works, it’s possible that development will soon pick up steam. If not, Krafton may take charge, particularly given the strong demand within the Nintendo community. However, the rumors surrounding the game’s potential release on the next-gen Nintendo Switch—whatever it may be called—add another layer of complexity, as the new hardware has yet to be unveiled.
For both Tango Gameworks and Krafton, the timeline for a possible Switch port remains uncertain. The recent closure, subsequent acquisition, and reopening of Tango Gameworks will undoubtedly cause delays. The status of a Switch version of Hi-Fi Rush, if it exists, is still unknown. Until official confirmation is provided, players will need to stay patient.
