Pokémon Unite Reveals Three Exciting New Additions to Its Roster
Exciting news for Pokémon Unite fans! The popular MOBA has officially confirmed the addition of Armarouge, Darkrai, and Psyduck to its roster, aligning with recent leaks. In Pokémon Unite, players engage in 5v5 battles, aiming to score the highest points within a set timeframe, similar to other popular titles like League of Legends and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
A Growing Roster of Pokémon
Currently boasting a selection of 65 Pokémon, Pokémon Unite includes many beloved characters such as Garchomp, Mimikyu, and Greninja. The most recent addition was Ho-Oh, but the excitement continues with news from the Pokémon World Championships 2024, where it was announced that three more Pokémon are about to enhance gameplay on Aeos Island.
Upcoming Pokémon and Their Roles
Armarouge - Arriving September 12
Armarouge, an evolution of Charcadet, will debut as an Attacker. This role is characterized by low durability but high damage output from a distance. While the trailer does not reveal all of Armarouge’s abilities, it does confirm that its Unite Move will be Armor Cannon, a skill featured in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Darkrai - Coming October 2024
Following Armarouge, the Mythical Pokémon Darkrai will join the game as a Speedster, focusing on jungle gameplay. Specific details about its abilities are scarce, but previous leaks suggest its Unite Move, Worst Nightmare, will plunge opponents into a nightmare state.
Psyduck - Set for November 2024
Rounding out the trio, Psyduck will be added in November, contributing to the game's Support class. The exact date is yet to be confirmed.
Celebrating Milestones and Future Updates
This year, Pokémon Unite celebrated its third anniversary, rewarding players with bonuses such as a free Charizard license. In addition to welcoming Armarouge, Darkrai, and Psyduck, Pokémon Unite is currently hosting a special sale on Holowear and licenses for Pokémon featured in the World Championships, running until August 26.
Looking ahead, a new game mode is on the horizon, where two teams will compete without a time limit. The first team to reach 500 points will secure victory, adding a fresh twist to the gameplay.
Get ready for an action-packed future in Pokémon Unite, with new Pokémon and exciting updates to look forward to!
